SALLY GLORIA VELA 1934-2022 Sally Gloria Vela, born in Tempe, Arizona, on November 22, 1934, died at the age of 87. Sally, daughter of Micaela S. Gloria and Natividad Q. Gloria, peacefully passed away on March 31, 2022. She was surrounded by the love of her family, as she slipped away into the loving arms of the Lord. Sally married Robert P. Vela on June 25, 1955, and they lovingly embraced 66 years of marriage. She is survived by her three children and their spouses Beverly Robinson (Reed), Bob Vela (Maricella) and Jessie Pena (Raul), 7 grandchildren, their spouses, and 17 great-grandchildren. Sally is also survived by her sisters, Lucy Gloria, Lita Waldmann, and brothers, Rito Gloria, Nato Gloria Jr, Joe Gloria, and Sirlido Cota Jr. Preceded in death by her beloved parents, her loving husband Robert, brothers Johnny, Goyo, and sister Reina Carabajal. Sally Vela, a loving wife and mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, a woman of strength to her brothers and sisters, continues to be a great inspiration to her family. She surrounded herself with humor, beauty, grace, forgiveness, and love. Our hearts are heavy, yet we will carry her values, her gift of forgiveness, her faith, and HER ENDURING LOVE in our hearts forever.
