Richard Wayne Raleigh
June 9, 1959 - April 30, 2021
Richard Wayne Raleigh, bit it on a Friday (4/30/2021). Born to Betty Catherine Miller, with whom he shared his birthday (June 9th), and to whom he loved dearly. He grew up in the projects of Covington, Kentucky, though he was never poor in intellect, whit or love. He once traveled, and saw the world from the deck of a United States Navy Battleship. He was a musician, a boxer, a comedian, and was the life of many parties. A country boy and rebel, son and brother, father and friend; He walked alone in all paths he took in life, and found comfort in silence and a good book. He was massive in stature, with a booming voice to match, yet kind and gentle in nature. He was the oldest brother to his 6 siblings and he joins his mother, and sisters Melody Gay and Sarah Elizabeth in heaven and is survived on earth by all his brothers: Robert Lindsay, John Gordon, Paul David, and Glen Merl. He is also survived by his wife by law Dolores Raleigh, their only daughter Catherine Margaret Raleigh, their only grandson Nicholas Ryan Raleigh. Niece Reanna Nicole and Nephews Robert Anthony, Joshua Tanner, and Brandon Lee. He will forever be remembered as Wayne, Shoestring, Uncle Stoney, and Daddy. May the lord welcome his son into his Kingdom.
