Nathaniel Edward Page Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Nathaniel Edward Page of Albuquerque, NM announce his unexpected passing on July 3, 2022 in Scottsdale, AZ from complications of a fall at the age of 77. Nathaniel was born on October 3, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York to Nathaniel Edward and Virginia Muriel Page, he was one of six children Barbara (decd.), Edward (decd.), Joan, Virginia, and Robert. Nat could accomplish anything he put his mind to and at an early age in Brooklyn he managed to leave his home to do delivery rounds with the milkman, Dugan delivery man and post office delivery man. He would also manage to take himself to ball games at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn to watch the Dodgers games; he did all this around the age of 5 or 6. His family moved to East Meadow when he was seven and he took his love of baseball throughout his school years. Nat graduated from East Meadow High School in1962 where he lettered in many sports but his all time favorite was baseball. He was excited when he was recruited for the farm team for his favorite team the NY Mets, but was then disappointed by being drafted to the US Army in 1965. While In the Army he was stationed in Fort Bragg, NC where he joined Special Forces and became a Green Beret. After the Army Nat worked in NY as a Bridge and Structural Iron worker for the local Union where he worked on many skyscrapers like the twin towers and bridges Verrazano and many others in the New York City area. He also owned a Carvel Ice Cream store with his good friend Charlie while living on Long Island. In addition, he worked on installing bank vaults, safety deposit boxes, and modular units with Diebold. He took all this knowledge with him to New Mexico in 1984 where he relocated and opened his own business installing bank vaults, safety deposits boxes and Modular’s all throughout the southwest. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Patricia of Albuquerque, NM, daughter Gina and son-in-law Matthew, grandchildren Noelle, Sienna, Ryan and Kevin all of North Woodmere, NY and son Ryan of Tempe, AZ. Nathaniel, Nat, “Natty”, or “Page” as he was called also leaves behind a brother-in-law, sisters-in-laws as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Nathaniel was a hard worker who enjoyed time with family & friends, a good Italian dinner, a night at the casino, cruising the seas, doo wop music especially “the 4 seasons”, concerts, Carvel ice cream, baseball, McDonald’s coffee regular, New York diners (Thomas’s Eggery), hamburgers of all kinds but White Castle were a favorite (think wimpy), comedy shows and being a sarcastic jokester. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed. Nathaniel will be laid to rest this fall at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM dates to follow.
