Joseph Anthony Regalado Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

JOSEPH ANTHONY REGALADO JR. Was born in Dominguez California on May 27th, 1963, to his parents Joseph Anthony Regalado SR. and Rose Rita Regalado. As a young child growing up, he was lovingly known as “Lil Tony” or “Tony Jr”. As an adult he preferred to be called “Joe” or “Joseph”. Until the age of 5 he lived in East Los Angeles, California on Hubbard Street. The family moved around for several years and lived in Pico Rivera, Whittier, Montebello, and Rosemead California. “Lil Tony” graduated from San Gabriel High School in 1980. Many times, he would sneak off to have lunch at his favorite hamburger stand! Just after high school, he moved back to Montebello California, where he worked at Montgomery Wards until his dad Tony Sr. introduced him to the telecommunications industry. “Lil Tony” took to it like a duck to water and quickly excelled in the business for several years. He worked all over the Los Angeles County area. When he was laid off from the telecommunications job, he secured a job with Access Transportation where he enjoyed transporting the elderly to doctor visits and non-urgent Hospital Visits. In 2015 he moved to Florence, Arizona with his partner Pat Hidalgo. Once again, he was able to find work in the telecommunications industry. He always applied himself in everything he did. In Arizona, he loved the scenery and the fact that he got to live in the state “Where the West was won! Home of the Arizona Rough Riders, OK Corral and Tombstone”. “Lil Tony” was always known as a prankster, with a hearty infectious laugh. He loved to play tricks on his younger brothers and sisters. He loved his nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with them fishing, camping, and hanging out. “Lil Tony” was also into science fiction movies like “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and was into computer games like “Sensei Wars”. He always had the latest gadgets, wanting to be prepared he was teased about being “inspector gadget”. “Lil Tony” loved and lived with Pat for 35 memorable years. Over their time together, they made precious memories and traveled together. Their love and friendship was cherished by them both.
