Jose Garcia Ruiz Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

It is with a heavy heart and severe sadness that the family of Jose Garcia announces that he passed away on June 25th, 2022 at 4:46am at the age of 62, in Chandler, Arizona. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, daughter Alycia (m. Chris), and son Joseph. He is also survived by his brother Bienvenido, brother Roberto, sister Julie, brother Lazaro, sister Mercedes, sister Josefina, brother Eusebio, and sister Connie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and all the indeterminate amount of children Jose unofficially adopted. We have been surrounded by our loving family and steadfast friends who also share in this, the deepest of losses. Our hearts and condolences go out to everyone that knew him and had the opportunity to share in the magic that was the mere presence and miracle of his life. Memorial services information will be announced soon. Jose was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba to the predeceased Bienvenido and Josefa Garcia and immigrated to the US from Cuba in 1971. He became an American Naturalized Citizen in August 2019. He met Elizabeth in 1979 and they married in 1983. He became a father in 1985 with his daughter, Alycia, and again with Joseph in 1989, and once more in 1990 with his son, Nicholas, with whom he now joins in heaven. Jose joined the United States Airforce, based at Vandenburg Airforce Base, in 1978 as a Helicopter Maintenance/Mechanic and participated in Search and Rescue. After serving, he established a career as an Airplane Mechanic with Continental/United Airlines and retired in 2020. He has been enjoying his retirement by traveling, working on boats and cars, building models, and cranking the music.
