Joanne Y Kwan

Joanne Y. Kwan Joanne passed away on March 28, 2022 at the age of 85, she was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and philanthropist. Joanne immigrated from Hong Kong to the United States with her husband, Larry and six children in 1963. In 1970, she moved from Phoenix to Scottsdale, Arizona and became a successful valley restauranteur. It was her charm and charisma, that built lasting relationships with many of her guests from all over the world, and this characteristic help build a legacy that lasted nearly 30 years. She was an extraordinary person, creative, and she loved to travel the world. She graciously, and generously shared her life with her family and friends, all whom can remember an event that changed their lives for the better. She lived a life of kindness, shared her grace with many people, and she was the first to help others in the time of need. She had an intuition that always proved to hold true, she trusted in God to guide her during difficult times, she had an incredible sense of humor, and she always found beauty in her life. She lived a life of gratitude, and is loved by her family, friends, and her Chinese Community. A memorial service will be held at a later date. A gracious thank you for your sympathy and condolences. Survived by 4 of her children, 6 grandchildren, 2 sister-in-laws, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many friends.
