Gary (Sonny) Martin Cummard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Gary Martin Cummard passed away August 16th 2021 at 77 years old. Born in Phoenix on August 9th 1944 and raised in Mesa, Arizona by his parents Robert Cummard and Adene Williams. He graduated from Mesa High School in 1962. After high school, he served in the Army for 3 years, most of which his time was spent serving in Germany. After an honorable discharge, he came home and shortly thereafter began his career working as a test car driver for General Motors Proving Grounds in Mesa, Arizona. Not long after starting work at General Motors he met his sweetheart Sandra Lee Parker. They were married in 1972 and would go on to have four children. He was a valued employee for 33 years and retired in 2001 as a manager within their Truck and Bus Division. He loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends as well as team roping every chance he got. He is survived by his wife Sandi and their four children: Chad Cummard (Talena Cummard), Reed Cummard (Kolby Cummard), Amber Kerby (Jace Kerby), Julie Butler (Brandon Butler). He is also survived by Yancy Littler (Kory Littler), his daughter Tammy Singleton, his two brothers Jack and Mike Cummard along with all of their 23 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. There will be a viewing held Friday, August 20th from 6-8pm at the LDS Stake Center 19730 E Ocotillo Road The Funeral Services will be held Saturday August 21st at 10am at the LDS Stake Center 19730 East Ocotillo Road
