Dorothy Marie Robinson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dorothy M. Robinson, age 71, passed away on December 22, 2021 in her hometown of Mesa, AZ. Dorothy aspired to be a high-end brothel owner and always said, "If you have to ask how much it is, then you don't belong here." Instead, Dottie settled into a life of flower design working at many flower shops across the Valley. Mom never left a stranger to anyone who crossed her path. Her home always had an open door and everyone called her “Mom”. She will be missed by many— from the homeless at St. Vincent de Paul, to her patrons at the Block House Tavern where she was a bartender. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam E. Robinson Sr; her son Sam E. Robinson Jr.; and is survived by Kimberly Robinson, her daughter. Dorothy was one of 21 children. She leaves behind her much loved sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and cousins. All who met Dottie are fortunate to be a part of the story of her life— even standing still she was an explanation point. All are welcome to join in celebrating her life. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at Meldrum’s Mortuary (52 N Macdonald, Mesa, AZ 85201). Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 5 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church (141 N Macdonald, Mesa, AZ 85201).
