Donald Dean Crandall Sr.

Donald Dean Crandall was born 10 August 1933 in Mesa, Arizona, to Mr. And Mrs. Louis Packer Crandall and Louise Marie Crismon both now deceased. He had one older brother named Louis “Sony” (deceased) and a younger brother named Robert Lee “Binky” (deceased) and a younger sister named Printy Eloise (deceased). He graduated from Mesa High School in 1953. Where he was Student Body President. He married Glenna June Halladay, 18 June 1953 , in the Mesa Arizona Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He attended Arizona State University. He was a resident of Mesa for many years. He was an entrepreneur. He once listed all the many skills he had which was a list of over 100 different jobs including his first job being a shoeshiner. As a little boy he acted as a minister when he married his brother off to the girl next door and later in life he became an official Justice of the Peace. He is survived by his wife Glenna June Crandall of Glendale, Arizona; four sons, Donald Dean Crandall Jr. (Karen) of Big Water, Utah, and David Lynwood Crandall of Mesa, Arizona, and Stephen Crandall (Ramona) of Arizona and Evan Crandall (Shelley) of Queencreek, Arizona . They also have three daughters, Cheryl Decker (Ed, deceased) of Phoenix, Arizona, Linda Hammond of Yuma, Arizona and Amy Cardiff (David) of Glendale, Arizona. He has 35 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his grandsons Lucas and Cody and his great-granddaughter, Alexa. He was always coming to the rescue of his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. There will be a family celebration of life after the service that will include dinner.
