Daniel James Orlove
January 5, 1958 - December 29, 2021
BORN 1955 DIED 2021 Daniel J Orlove, 66, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 suddenly but peacefully at his home in Phoenix. He was born on January 5, 1955 in Elmhurst, Illinois. Dan had a bit of wanderlust in his heart and spent many years living in Chicago, Indiana, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida, Des Moines and most recently in Phoenix. He was a trained and certified auto mechanic and often volunteered his services to those in need. He spent many years working the carnival circuit in the South and then joined the Salvation Army in Des Moines as their chief engineer. If you knew Dan, you knew he was happy to help with anything mechanical and enjoyed tinkering with other things as well. Dan was a kind and generous man, and could bend your ear with many stories of the situations he found himself in as he traveled down his life's journey. He loved to dance and cook; and, of course, eat. Dan is survived by his daughter, Michelle Tindall of Bogue, North Carolina and his three grandchildren Jesslyn O'Connor, Ever Tindall and Beau Tindall; his twin sister Dayle Orlove of Chicago; his sisters Patricia (Frank) Bobnic, of Casa Grande; Jackie Dokos of Phoenix, and Jill Orlove of Crystal Lake; his brothers Bobby (Sandy) Owens of Lompoc CA, William (Michele) Orlove of Palatine IL, and Timothy Orlove of Chicago; numerous nieces, nephews, and many special friends. Preceding him in his death are his parents William and June Orlove, his sister Noreen (Frank) Brandle and his brother Ed Schroeder, Jr. In honor of Dan's life, memorial donations in his name may be offered to the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI).
